That’s it, I’m going to start blogging more! Sometimes there’s stories behind my photos, and they might as well be told, right?
I’ll start off story time with the first couple who I chose to shoot a wedding for: my friends Joey and David. Their 1960s-inspired wedding in Cannon Beach, Oregon was so beautiful. Despite strong offshore winds, Joey’s adorable pinbox hat and updo stayed put the entire time. They had a short, intimate ceremony on the beach and a fun, dancey, reception at the Cannon Beach community center. The couple had quite a few themes laced through the affair, letting their personalities shine through. 1960s-inspired food, dress, hair, and makeup were all on display, and in the end they were attacked by a giant octopus.

The bridal party goofing around at the beach house before heading down to the beach for the ceremony.
The jewelry she chose was so classic.
Pretty sure they were singing “Going to the Chapel” here.
An important bridal request: must airplaine on the beach!
This group was too fun!

The matriarchs combine sand, representing the merging of two families.
Smooches!
These kids (onlookers) serenaded the wedding party with a surprise tune. It was so sweet!
It was so windy on the beach, but I don’t think she lost her hat once!
